Trending

An interesting development, to be sure. Occasionally I visit a site called BlogScope.Net, which purports to "Analyze The Blogosphere" with their particular mix of metrics, while monitoring over 53 million blogs.

I go there and punch in keywords for my blog, fellow science writers' blogs, trying to get ideas about what is "trending" across our many fields. Today, I saw perhaps the most interesting two graphs in the (albeit rather short) history of my checking this website in 2010...

Naturally, I check "NASA" fairly often, and see minor spikes here and there, coinciding with certain events or announcements, but this sky-rocketing upturn was really something to see!
